Artist Statement
Based in Southern New Jersey, I am a jewelry artist and metalsmith dedicated to the art of transformation. My creative path began in college, where I studied fine art, but I found my true calling outside the traditional classroom. Seeking a more tactile connection to my work, I began immersing myself in specialized metalsmithing workshops, refining the technical skills needed to bring my visions to life.
My journey into metalwork was originally sparked by my father, whose craftsmanship with wrought iron taught me that raw materials carry infinite potential. Today, I translate that legacy into wearable art. My work is a dialogue between the past and the present, drawing inspiration from the organic textures of nature, the geometry of modern design, and the mystery of ancient civilizations. Each piece is meticulously hand-forged in my studio, blending traditional techniques like fold forming with innovative stone setting and texturing to frame unique stones and fossils, and more recently incorporating the vibrant art of torch-fired enamel on copper, adding layers of rich color and glass-like depth to my metalwork. My process transforms raw materials into timeless jewelry that does more than adorn the body—it resonates with the spirit of the wearer.
