Ancient Medallion with Seraphinite

This medallion was carved from wax and cast in sterling silver using the lost wax casting method. Lost wax casting is one of the oldest known metal-forming techniques, dating back around 6,000 years. This piece is accented with an 8mm seraphinite stone. The stone's iridescent, feather-like fibers are said to resemble silver wings flying within a deep forest green gem.
